This cover illustration for an essay collection by Catholic blogger (and now English-language editor of popular religion site Aleteia) Elizabeth Scalia came at her request after she saw my comics online and appreciated their light-hearted and personal tone. This caricature, with its exaggerated proportions and abundance of private totems, seeks to capture the similar tone found in her own writings.
